How am I doing, you ask.
I’m doing well, thank you. With all the changes that occurred over the past few months, that wasn’t a given. In fact, earlier this year I began to wonder why I was coping so well with my mother’s passing. I thought my grief would wreak havoc on my life. But there I was, talking about her, thinking of her, remembering her without shedding a tear. And then I got it: She was the one who gave me the strength to carry on as I have. Merci, maman!
Now, I miss her terribly.
On the other hand, I have my art to sustain me and exhibits to prepare for. New venues, new artwork, new experiences. To date, this is my schedule for the spring/summer of 2015:
THE ATRIUM, Morristown Court House, 10 Court St., 4th Floor: Contemporary Art Group Exhibit from May 4 to September 11. Opening reception: May 14, 6:30-9 pm.
ZUFALL HEALTH, 18 W. Blackwell St., Dover: “Childhood Memories” group show from May 16 to August 16. Opening reception: June 5, 5:30-8 pm.
D&R GREENWAY LAND TRUST, Johnson Education Center, 1 Preservation Place, Princeton: “Palette with Purpose: The Function of Color in Nature” exhibit from June 8 to July 31. Opening reception: June 19, 5:30-7:30 pm.
KEMMERER LIBRARY, 19 Blue Mill Rd., Harding Township: Solo exhibit of my latest creations, the “M” Cutouts, from June 17 to September 2. Opening reception: June 17, 5:30-7 pm.
I look forward to seeing you there. If I may be so bold–oh well, I am bold. Let me just say this: the cutouts are awesome!
